Director of Housing, Cork City Council
Valerie O’Sullivan is a public servant who has worked for Cork City Council, Cork County Council and the HSE South in various roles. Since September 2015, she is Cork City Council’s Director of Housing and Community, having also been Director of Recreation, Amenity, Culture and Emergency Services as well as Corporate and External Affairs. Having worked in housing services previously for both the City and County Councils, Valerie is looking forward to the challenge ahead in delivering on the targets of the Social Housing Strategy 2020 for Cork City. She believes that Cork City poses a very particular set of issues in the delivery of these targets, for which the expertise and commitment of her team in Housing is crucial.
